An additional thought:
Banks tend to process checks before deposits so that if you overdraw,
they can hit you with more overdraft fees. If you download and match
transactions, the bank's entry order can override your entry order.

A fundamental characteristic. Most users learn to deal with it.

Transactions generally display in the order you enter them. If you want
the deposits to show first, enter them first.

I haven't used the 2003 version for a while, but I don't remember any
settings like the one you're requesting.

Default Depost Placement

Ok...I just picked up Money 2003 (yeah I know) for a couple of bucks and it
appears to run under Vista without any issues...so far this is...but I do
have one problem that I am trying to find a solution to...

When I enter a deposit, for some reason it shows up after debits of the same
day...I can't seem to find a preferences setting for this...I have clicked on
tools -> options -> bills & deposits, but it doesn't show a way to correct
this...

obviously I am missing something...or is this a fundamental flaw in the
software?

outside of this it works great and fine for me...
