| If you ever changed your password (or sign in name) try using an older password. Offline mode should remember the last "successful" online sign in credentials. So, if you changed them since then, it may still be using older credentials in offline mode. -Mark "GrahamW" <GrahamW[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E2EEC527-C66C-468E-84F2-34BA7DB3E4B2[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I do get the option to sign in offline. > It rejects my email address and password > I have tried configuring IE to work off line. > -- > gw > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, GrahamW wrote: > > > > Thanks for your suggestions, Unfortunately, I cannot log on offline. > > > I have tried MS phone support but they wont touch money 2004 as its life > > > has > > > expired. > > > I did try telling IE to work offline and even disconnected the cable but > > > still I could not log on offline. > > > I suggest you don't attempt to change your LiveID password. > > > Are you saying that there is no place to click that you want to log > > in offline, or are you saying that it rejects your email address and > > password? I was afraid of that.> It rejects my email address and password > I have tried configuring IE to work off line. Continue to sign in off line, or see if you want to move to Money Plus Deluxe. There is a free trial. If you switch back, changes not entered into Money 2004 will not be available in Money 2004. There are other considerations if you think you might want to switch back. |

I suggest you don't attempt to change your LiveID password.> I have tried MS phone support but they wont touch money 2004 as its life has > expired. > I did try telling IE to work offline and even disconnected the cable but > still I could not log on offline. Are you saying that there is no place to click that you want to log in offline, or are you saying that it rejects your email address and password? If you are not getting the opportunity, see if in IE you select File-> WorkOffline, and then open Money. |

| Thanks for your suggestions, Unfortunately, I cannot log on offline. I have tried MS phone support but they wont touch money 2004 as its life has expired. I did try telling IE to work offline and even disconnected the cable but still I could not log on offline. -- gw "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, GrahamW wrote: > > MS Money2004 under XP. > > The programme has suddenly stopped me from signing in as previously. > > When I ask to use Money's online features to login, I receive a message that > > the attempt was unsuccessful. > > When I ask to sign in without online features, I am told the password is > > incorrect. > > When I click on "Forgotten your password", I reach the following > > website--https://member services.passport. com/ppsecure/MRSV_ResetPW.asp > > which Internet Explorer cannot display. > > Any advice as to how to overcome this problem would be most appreciated. > Also see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894020 |

Make a copy of your Money file (*.mny) under a different name.> The programme has suddenly stopped me from signing in as previously. > When I ask to use Money's online features to login, I receive a message that > the attempt was unsuccessful. > When I ask to sign in without online features, I am told the password is > incorrect. > When I click on "Forgotten your password", I reach the following > website--https://member services.passport. com/ppsecure/MRSV_ResetPW.asp > which Internet Explorer cannot display. > Any advice as to how to overcome this problem would be most appreciated. Log in offline. In Money 2004, you should be able to click where it says "I don't need to use online features that require Microsoft Passport". Then File-> PasswordManager, attempt to remove your Passport. If that is successful, you can continue to work with your current version without Passport. For the North American versions at least, except for the passwording aspect, the Passport-enabled features would have expired anyway. You can add a conventional password to keep the file secured from the mildly curious. |

| MS Money2004 under XP. The programme has suddenly stopped me from signing in as previously. When I ask to use Money's online features to login, I receive a message that the attempt was unsuccessful. When I ask to sign in without online features, I am told the password is incorrect. When I click on "Forgotten your password", I reach the following website--https://member services.passport. com/ppsecure/MRSV_ResetPW.asp which Internet Explorer cannot display. Any advice as to how to overcome this problem would be most appreciated. -- gw |
