| I'm buying some stocks next week, so I'll be adding those to the portfolio. We'll see what happens then. Thanks Cal for the explanation...that sounds like a plausible reason for the "unch". As far as the double-click thing w/ the mouse, that's not happening...so still no idea there. I assume Mutual Funds cause Money to choke? Money's quote server marks mutual fund quotes that it sends you as unchanged on the day. At maybe 6 or 7PM ET, the fund managers feed out a new net asset value quote. At that time the there is a change for the day in the quotes... until that midnight. Expect those funds to mostly show non-zero changes until very late Sunday to early Monday. Unfortunately I had not taken into account that you were looking at only mutual funds rather than including some stocks-- which should have been updating thru the day. Regarding the "Cannot perform this operation right now", I was wondering if your mouse was somehow double clicking due to some bounce. Yet I don't think that would actually explain things, but I am not sure. | But if you look at yesterday's close and the current quote, they are different. Current price on Money matches whatever you pull from MSN or any other online ticker service, which is different from the previous day close price. I still think it has something to do with Money trying to do the update twice at one time. | According to MoneyCentral (MSN Money). Brazos had the same price yesterday and today (although how it can already have a price for today, I don't know): http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor...1&Symbol=BJMIX Looks like this may be happening for all/most mutual funds. Mutual Funds should NOT have today's price yet since the markets haven't closed yet so that the fund managers can calculate today's NAV. -Mark "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:s7khf459801nj2p4vr0d4p0cto0bp70cdg[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Brannon wrote: > > I tried it again (repair L2) just for kicks...still doing the same thing. > > Example: My Fund (BJMIX) Previous close- 11.41, Current- 11.84. > > Portfolio > > Manager shows price of 11.84, but Change shows "unch", as do all others. > Sorry to hear that. | Sample file worked fine. Updated normally, and keeps the changes showing. I would open Sample.mny, and see if it displays the same symptom.> upgraded from previous versions. > I have all my funds in portfolio manager w/ 2 different brokerages. > Whenever I open Money or request an update, they are always current with > what is listed on the web, but they almost always show "unch." | My latest version of Money is 16.0.120.1303, and my file is about 5 yrs. old, upgraded from previous versions. I have all my funds in portfolio manager w/ 2 different brokerages. Whenever I open Money or request an update, they are always current with what is listed on the web, but they almost always show "unch." Sometimes, if I'm quick, I can look at them and see the daily changes for a few seconds, and then they switch back to "unch" again. Also, when I use "Update Now" for my accounts and stocks, I get the error "You cannot perform this operation right now. There is an online operation in progress. Try again later." So, it's almost like it is trying to update twice every time. Once gets me my updates and "change" amounts, followed by another seconds later that wipes out the changes making them show "unch". Any ideas how to fix? Nothing found in Microsoft Support. |
