| I have had the same problem. When I download something it matches up wrong, then when I manually match it the next time I download it unmatches and matches it back to the old item. This seems strange since it is already been reconciled. I never had this problem until recently. I am going to try Quicken!! If that did not work, I would Void the downloaded transaction. |

The bank then prints a check and mails it to the payee. I rely on Money to update the register with these payments and then mark them as reconciled (with an "E") once they clear the bank. This has worked fine till now. |

Normally, when you enter a transaction by hand, you don't mark it as cleared or reconciled when you enter it. If you download the same transaction later, Money should recognize the match itself. If it does not, click Change, and tell it what to match to. - quote - > Now, here's something even stranger. After downloading all my

When you process the second transaction, Money should match it. Be careful to not just Accept if Money did not find the match on its own for some reason. Click Change and match it to the transfer you already made if Money did not match it for you. I would consider this the classic of the ways I like. Note that for this you would *not* use the Money "EXPENSE Credit Card Payment". I would Delete that category. For existing transactions that are already accepted, convert one to a transfer and Void/Delete the other. If you don't see the SPECIAL Transfer category at the bottom of the list, switch to advanced register. One way is Tools-> Settings-> AccountSettings-> DisplayAllAccountsInTheAdvancedRegister |

I had used Money to make the payment several days earlier, and the payment date was the same date as the transaction that was incorrectly matched to it (but the payment amounts were different). Now, here's something even stranger. After downloading all my transactions tonight, when I went back and looked in the register, I found TWO |

Was that in the same account as the transaction that you corrected was? Is this a credit card bill being paid from the checking account, or what? |

| I just discovered that my Money 2007 Deluxe has recorded the wrong payee with a downloaded transaction. I went in to the register and changed the payee in the downloaded transaction to the correct one shown in my online banking screen, and then manually entered another transaction in Money's register to show a cleared transaction for the payee that was wrongly matched. Why did this happen, and is there a better way to fix the problem? |
