If you hit the space bar it will speed down every transaction and change it
to ticked or cleared depending on its initial state. I've been using Money
for years and I only just discovered this tonight! Very sad.

I think keyboard autorepeat is a BIOS setting.

There is a Keyboard area in the control panel too. I don't see an
autorepeat disable control in my control panel, tho the rate and
delay can be adjusted.

I used part of what you gave me and simply went back to where I thought the
problem started and re-reconciled. Everything is fine now. I was balanced
but somewhere had a bad ending balance number. It's fixed now.

But, I was unable to use the "shortcut" you gave me. I had to hold
control+shift and click with the mouse on every transaction. Control shift M
only changed one, it did not move to the next one. For information - how
does "autorepeat" work? Does this need to be turned on to move to the next
transaction.

Do not change "Total amount you owed last month" if you don't want
Money to enter an adjustment. That amount Money shows should be
the algebraic sum of all Reconciled statements, which *should* be
the balance you left off with the last time you balanced. Into
"Total amount you owe this month", enter balance from web statement.

If it does not match, look for an extra transaction that had been
entered by mistake, or a missing transaction.

If you wish to start fresh and declare an account balanced, you can
mark all entries balanced. Select to show only unreconciled
transactions. Sort by date, and go to the oldest transaction.
Hold down Cntl+Shift+M and let auto-repeat work thru the
transactions until none are left showing. Do not change the
starting date or starting balance. The starting balance is the sum
of the transactions that have already been marked as reconciled.
Then balance making the ending balance match the known balance.
Choose the balance date to be the day after your last transaction.
This is not the normal procedure. It starts you with an amnesty
for former balancing.

Thereafter, follow the normal procedure.

Default correct old reconciled data

Some how in the past, about 4 months ago, I must have entered incorrect
ending balance or starting balance and now Money wants me to change the
starting balance every time I reconcile?

Is there anyway to go back and fix the reconciled info?

The balance is right, all the way back, starting and ending balances are
correct but each time I reconcile Money changes the starting balance by 34.94
- even though the amount it changes to is incorrect.

I can continue but I have to tell it to go on without "correcting" the
problem. But "correcting" the problem to satisfy the program would give me
an incorrect balance.
