Looking at https://moneycentral.msn.com/investo...portfolio.aspx it seems that you can still add transactions. You can have accounts without having the data drawn from your financial institutions. The group for MSN Money is microsoft.public.moneycentral - quote - > then it really > doesn't matter how many computers you can access that data from, now doesn't > it? | By Saying "See" I was referring to the MSN Money Online feature in which you can only SEE your data and NOT do anything with it. If for instance, you CANNOT input transaction data into the MSN Money Online, then it really doesn't matter how many computers you can access that data from, now doesn't it? Now you can see why I say it is a really useless feature. Probably just a way that Microsoft can track people's spending habits...Oh now that was cynical... Its' friday, I'm done. At one time I had mistakenly thought that the current feature was more powerful than it is. If you wanted to experiment to see what happens currently, you could create a new file with your LiveID on it to see the results. Alternatively, you can still use MSN Money exclusively, and access your info on the web from various computers. |

| Cal: What the hell does "Actually that "See" is only on initial setup now, anyway." It makes no sense to those who are not computer scientists or otherwise. Can you be more specific? It seems the answer is still that you cannot enter transactions on MSN money, which is why you suggest buying Ultrasoft Money... On that subject, I downloaded the trial of that program and it runs so slow on my PDA that it is unusable. Money is no longer portable for me... | The fact that you cannot enter transactions on the web and then sync your data with your local money file makes absolutely no sense. I'm not sure why the hell anyone would upload their data to the MSFT servers just to "See" your data from another computer. Useless... | If I decide to enter my Live ID and have MSN Money synchronize my data with the MSN servers and my money file, I cannot seem to get the question answered here: I know you would be able to view your information, but it would be really useful if you could actually enter transactions from another computer on the web and then synchronize your money file when you get home. Can someone let me know if you can do this?? |
