In the past some Norton users have posted that turning off did notdo the job. They had to uninstall Norton, install Money and reinstall Norton. - quote - > What is a standard

| I turned off all my norton antivirus features and no luck. What is a standard level 2 file repair? I have already tried restoring a backup and get the same response. I have already done the copy file w/new name. I have also tried downloading the free trial version of microsoft plus deluxe. I still get stopped at the same "not enough memory" message. Do you use Norton or Spysweeper? If you have set a compatibility mode for Money, I would undo that. So you successfully opened sample.mny. When you do, you can see the version is 14.0.*.1105. The problem only occurs with your regular file. Locate your *.m10 file. Copy that to a file named something like try05.mny in your Documents folder. Try opening try05.mny. Still no go? I suggest standard level 2 file repair or restoring a backup (*.mbf). | I have already done the sample to get the updates AND moved the backup file to the documents folder on my vista computer. When I open the backup file, I am prompted to give the password to access the file. After entering the password, I get this message: "Not enough memory is available. If you have several applications open at the same time, you might need to close one of them before starting Money. But I don't have ANY other windows open. What do I do now? Right-click the Money start icon and select RunAsAdministrator. Click File-> Open and browse to that sample.mny file. Money 2005 will do an update. Close Money. Reboot the computer. Then open Money and check that Help-> About... says you then have version 14.0.*.1105. Make sure your .mny and .mbf files are in your Documents folder. Then you should be able to File-> Open or Restore your existing files. |

| I don't know what's going on for sure. One thing comes to mind. M05 had "Issues" when it first shipped and there was fairly rapidly a patch made available. Have you done an Internet Update on M05? Open the sample file if necessary to get to the point where you can do this.
