| Once the bill has been entered (or even if it is still in the Bills area) you would during the download of the actual transaction, match it up if Money does not already perform the match. Thus with your cable bill being identical each month and with the same payee. Money will match it. The electric bill on the other hand will probably not match, unless you go to bill pay and change that one bill. In this case you would click on the "Change" button and manually identify the bill before accepting the pair as being matched bills. In the case of credit card bills, I have gotten lazy and during the balancing process I accept to pay the bill immediately instead of placing it in the bills area. I pick the date the bill will actually pay and enter it into the 2 registers often weeks ahead of its actual payment. Once again when the transfer actually occurs I match it with the already entered items. I do not worry about the date as it will change to which ever one I match last. Hi I have some bills that are automatic to. It sounds like you download transaction form you bank (you state there already in the register etc.) What I do is set those bills up to auto enter into the register a day or so before they are due (also before you download the transaction from the bank) When you do download they sould match the ones you enter via above. Hope I've understood you question correctly. Jim |

| I've recently started using Money Plus Deluxe and overall really like it, but I'm a little confused about something. I want to setup my bills, especially so that I can get the notifications and see them in the calendar, but I don't want to use the online bill pay features. Most of my bills are already automatically withdrawn from my bank account. I thought maybe I should set the bills up like I need to send a check in for them, but then the only way to mark them as paid that I can find is to enter them into the register. The problem with that is that the withdrawals for these payments are already in my register. Can someone point me in the right direction with how to use Money in this situation? Thanks! |
