If you use online services you have to pay a new fee at some point, to
continue that.

I don't understand. According to

http://microsoftmoney.blogspot.com/2...oney-2009.html

there's not even going to be a new version this year. Are you seeing
something different?

So don't be one. Just because there's a new version, doesn't mean you
have to upgrade to it. I upgraded to Money '07 to get a feature that
wasn't included in the version I was using before - Money '02.

Money '02 was continuing to work just fine in WinXP. I don't know
about support for it, because I hadn't needed any.

What alternatives do you have in mind? And what are you doing with your
existing data set?

Default Done With M$Money

That's it for me. I will no longer submit to the bi-annual upgrade extortion
racket. There are simply too many other viable personal finance products out
there that don't sunset features/operating system support.

Don't be a lemming!
