I am having serious problems posting spinoffs, especially if the original
company has more than one purchase lot. After I finish going through the
spinoff routine, the "Add Shares" portion deducts the adjusted cost from
cash, (as if it were a stock purchase not an Add share)which it should not
do. Spinoffs don't usually affect cash, only an adjustment in basis between
the original company and the new spinoff company.
The only way I can figure out to get around this is to delete the spinoff
and record it manually, which is a pain! Can you fix this?
