| You might have answered my question. I'll give that a shot tonight. I'm having a problem when I attempt to start Money Deluxe Plus. A screen appears, that had not appeared prior to 09/22/08 that asks me to "accept" the Online Services Agreement and when I accept I get a message that the Registration Library cannot be loaded. I saw an earlier post about Webroot SpySweeper and I am running this on a laptop (Vista O/S). I don't want to use any updates, etc. from the internet - I just want to run it on my computer. I am not sure what you want to do. Are you saying that Money no> prompts me for my password? I > didn't (and don't) want to use the online updates, etc. I only ran it as a > "stand-alone" program on my HP laptop that uses Vista. longer asks for a password? Or are you saying that it does ask for a password or LiveID (looks like an email address), and that you don't want Money going out to access your online accounts automatically. At Tools-> InternetUpdates-> CustomizeUpdates there is a UseAutomatedUpdates checkbox to control Automated Online Updates. If the box is ticked, mnybbsvc.exe, the background banking service, is run. If you open a Money file where the checkbox is cleared, mnybbsvc.exe ends. You are able to select this even if there is no LiveID on the file. If you turn off Automated Online Updates, you could still trigger an update of accounts by clicking. If you don't want that, disable all of your accounts for online access. Or is it something else that you are looking for? |

| I have almost the opposite. How can I get to back to the screen that just prompts me for my password? Before 09/22/08, all I did was login to my "off-line" version by selecting the MyMoneyPlus and typing my password. I didn't (and don't) want to use the online updates, etc. I only ran it as a "stand-alone" program on my HP laptop that uses Vista. "blkane" wrote: - quote - > I'm not MC but this was helpful. | I'm not MC but this was helpful. I just experienced this issue for the first time on a new PC. I'm running Vista x64. If that works, I would restore a recent backup (*.mbf) file. If you still have a problem what version of Money are you using, and what OS are you using? |

| I have a strange issue that just came out of the blue with logging in to my file. The sign in page no longer shows my email address and password for Windows Live ID which is the only way I have ever signed in. Instead it just shows the file location and a password field. It will not accept any password I have ever used. Is there some sort of bug with the program. I am on my fourth version of Money and have never seen this before. Please help. I am really afraid of losing 6 years of data. thanks. |
