These transactions appear in things such as reports and are reconciled, but
there is no way to delete them or mark the total amount as $0. The Account,
Date, and Amount fields are all disabled.

I have been able to mark the transactions as 'Void', but that still leaves
them lingering in the register. If there is corruption in the account
register, I don't like the idea of the transactions staying around.

A slight twist. I am not sure this actually happened (I should have payed
more attention), but when one of the bogus future transaction came due, I
think money correctly reconciled it. Thus making it a legit transaction
again. If this did indeed happen (I'll know in a couple of days when the
next transaction comes in) it still has a couple of short comings:
- some of my transactions will not post. For example, a yearly charitable
donation that I scheduled, but elected to not donate this year.
- some of the transactions are a year into the future. I have to live with
a bogus account balance for a year?

Does any of this sound familar? Any similar experiences.

I'm having IDENTICAL problem to what's being described here and in the other
"Account lis balance incorrect thread". My checking account balance is
$14,000 different depending on whether I view it with "All unreconciled
Transactions", or "View all Transactions". I've deleted all Bills/Deposits,
run "msmoney -s", and also tried running salve.exe on the file - all with no
success.

How does one delete these phantom future entries which appear to have been
added to my chcking account. I'll opened a support incident on this with
Microsoft and will keep everyone posted if they are able to help - although
I'm not keeping my fingers crosssed.

Can you delete the entries in the Bills and Deposits list?

Yours may be a corruption problem. See FAQ available at
http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/ for information including information
on salv.exe.

I have this same problem. For some reason, Money 2004 has entered several
bills automatically in the future. I can not see these bills in the
register, nor can I delete them. They only appear when I click the little
plus sign in the Account List.

i.e

+ My Credit Card........ $700
11/1/2003 My Credit Card $700

This payment was never entered by me, nor does it appear anywhere else.
This has affected several of my accounts and none of the various salvage
tools have helped.

Argh!

There are two different balances shown in the register if there are
future transactions.

Try opening Money with Start-> Run and entering
"msmoney -s" without the quotes into the box.

Default Account Balance Inaccuracy

I'm running Money 2002.

The balance shown under 'Account List' is inaccurate and
does not match the balance shown in the register.
