Here is what I do for credit cards, and it should work for your
case:

When you process the first transaction of the credit card
payment, set the category as a transfer to the other ( credit card
or bank account). When you process the second transaction,Money
should match it. Be careful to not just Accept if Money did not
find the match on its own for some reason. Click Change and match
it to the transfer you already made if Money did not match it for
you.

I just upgraded to to Money 08 and "Probable Match" is not working as it
did. I have automatic transfers from my savings to my checking to maintain
the checking balance. When I bring my bank info in there are two
transactions, for example there might be a payment from savings of $100 and
a deposit to checking of $100. The description starts with "automatic
transfer" so money assigns them to "automobile".

Previously, when I edited the savings transaction to make it a transfer to
checking, the transaction in checking would be tagged as a "probable match".
Since upgrading to Money 08 this no longer happens. I now find that the
transfer transaction shows up in checking as well as the transaction from
the bank.

I would like to get this working correctly again OR turn the "probable
match" feature off and just deal with the duplication myself.

Also, is there some way that I can teach Money that the automatic transfers
in my savings are not "automobile" but are actually transfers to checking?
