| To debug this error, use the special pool option of Driver Verifier. If this fails to reveal the driver that caused the error, use the Global Flags utility to enable the special pool by pool tag. There is no inbuilt repair program for backups. So you need Data Recovery Software. I used Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software to recover my data. Try this software from here : http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm to recover your data. |

| Thanks for your lead about "Run the Standard File Repair utility in Microsoft Money 2000, in Microsoft Money 2001, in Microsoft Money 2002, or in Microsoft Money 2003" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466. It was the advice I was looking for. Since you refer to a backup file later, I assume you know what an> simple way of tracking day to day expenses. Yesterday I could not open the > current file but I could open an archived file. archived file is. Keep a copy of that one file that works on other media. For the "current" file, I would try to make a repaired version using the method described in "Run the Standard File Repair utility in Microsoft Money 2000, in Microsoft Money 2001, in Microsoft Money 2002, or in Microsoft Money 2003" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466 - quote - > I also could not open the

It is possible that a reinstall or an install of a later version would help. The Money 2004 trial is available as an intermediate on the way to Money plus. You could try that trial on a different computer to see where you stand. The method described for 2002 would probably work for 2001: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919524/en-us |

| I've been running Money 2001 ver9.0 very successfully for many years as a simple way of tracking day to day expenses. Yesterday I could not open the current file but I could open an archived file. I also could not open the latest backup file(on HDD or floppy). As soon as I enter my password I get the message ".....serious error and must shut down." I've created another file which will open OK but I cannot retrieve the data from the previous backup file to restore to the new file. Can anyone help me by suggesting a way that I can access the data in the backup file. |
