This may be informative to somebody who can explain why you are getting transactions downloaded into your accounts in Money Plus that are marked as closed, and, I would like to hope, how that can be corrected. |

The easy way would have been to not accept those unwanted transactions initially. Instead, right click where it says you have transactions to read for those accounts, and delete the statements. Then closing the accounts should prevent further download into those closed accounts if you are running Money Plus. |

Well here comes the tricky part. My bank allows me to hide accounts on its> online services for those accounts. end, which in turn does not allow MS Money to download the unwanted information. However, my family actively uses the bank's website to check up on their accounts (better than the alternative) and it would be a real nuisance to have to hide/re-hide their accounts just so that I can play with MS Money. I appreciate everyone's input! Any more ideas to work around this problem? ...Without turning off updates and manually typing in transactions? -Alan |

| If I delete all of the transactions in the other accounts will they be deleted on my bank's online service as well? Also, if I do delete all of the transactions, will they be restored the next time I initiate an update with my bank? I searched for "Advanced Account Setup" but couldn't find any such option/menu. It is not listed in the Glossary either. I am running MS Money Plus Deluxe (Version 17.0.120.1415) which i believe is 2008. Why is Microsoft forcing the user to removal of all sub accounts when trying to just remove certain ones? And to continue, why do the monthly reports not adhere to which accounts I've marked Opened and Closed? -- -Alan M. |

Money 2007 and Plus offer "Advanced Account Setup" as a workaround. Open "Help" and search for "Advanced Account Setup". You may have to "Stop using online services" and the "Set up online services" for the affected institution to see this option. I couldn't find a way to drill in for it for my established accounts, but I did have that option when I first set up online services. NOTE: This may not work if you're using a Live ID for Yodlee screen-scraping of accounts that don't offer true direct access via an OFX server. -- Scott Tyler agent_scotty-at-hotmail-dot-com |

| Unfortunately, this is a side effect of downloading data. If you can see it on the bank's website, Money insists on downloading it to your Money data file. Once there, well, you see some of the side effects. Your only solution in the case of Monthly Reports is to skip downloading and put in the data the old fashioned way. For the accounts you want collected and recorded the way you want. By hand. | Well I tried to delete those 3 individual accounts but unfortunately Money will only let me delete all of the accounts (within the one banking category) or none at all. The option it gives me says "Delete this account, along with my other <bank name> accounts | or Close this account" The accounts I'm trying to exclude are of my other family members, and are thus not useful to me. -- -Alan M. | Hello all, I am using MS Money Plus Deluxe. I inputed my online Banking logon information and MS Money retrives all of my accounts linked to that logon (5 accounts). Now there are only two accounts that I want to have MS Money manage and generate reports for. I have "closed" the remaining 3 accounts within MS Money so that the two I want are showing as open. However, when I choose to generate a monthly report it includes transactions from all of the accounts linked to my banking login info. I have searched and searched for a filter to disclude those unwanted accounts, but no luck. Is there an option somwhere to only include the open accounts in the monthly reports? Now I had to go through each of the other repots and use the customize link to only include the open accounts which was a pain, but only a one time process. My problem is that I cannot find the same Customize link for the monthly repots. Can anyone help? Thank you, -Alan |
