I am not running Essentials. That's correct. I finally figured out that I
need to run the Advanced Register to do what I need to do.

I believe I've fixed the problem by switching to "Adavnced Register". The
Advanced Register is very much like what I was used to previously. Things
seem to be back to business for me.

when you add a transaction in Money essentials you have to enter the add a
transaction option and then for it to appear in the register section you need
to clear the transaction from the adjusted transactions area.
This is diferent from your previous version since money essentials in
somewhat limited for entering manuallly your transactions.
IT was mainly designed to update automatically with your accounts so you
need to clear transactions as stated above

So you are not running Essentials then, right?

I found the answer! I just had to switch to the Advanced Register! Yeah! It's
as simple as the previous version of Money.

Default Entering old transactions from over a year ago

I am trying to update my records from 1-01-07 to 5-01-07. Is this not possible?

I am having a terrible time trying to input transactions from 1-01-07 up to
the point I purchased money essentials (5-07-8). Previously, with my old
Money Software, it was as simple. I just clicked the checkbook register,
enter the info, and it "stuck". Now I click on "add a transaction", enter the
info, save it, and it stays at the top of my statement page. It doesn't seem
to get registered at the bottom of my account register. When I want to add
the next transaction, I have to click add a transaction again, change the
date again, type in the info, click save, and it just seems to stay at the
top of the page again.

Do I need to click the button that says the item has cleared my bank?
