| Use some decent search tool looking for files of extension .MNY, .MBF, .MN? and .M?? where ? is a digit. That won't answer what version they are. If you find a .MN? or .M?? the digits would give you some clues. If you need to know that, post back and I'' post the decoder ring and tell you what you are learning about the version of the .MN?/.M?? files--from which you may be able to infer the version of a .MNY file. Opening a .MNY file with the LATEST version of Money can also leave behind similar .MN?/.M?? files, the ?? of which can be sued to infer version. Do a search for *.mny (Money data files) and *.mbf (Money backup> computer. Money version is probably 2000 but definitely not newer than 2002. files). Copy those to a USB flash drive, and copy them to the Documents folder of the new computer. You will have to install Money on the new computer to use the files. If you restore a backup, do not restore to the "default location". Instead browse to your Documents folder and restore there. |
