| And one other thought: what day you get paid should, once you get over the hump, not really matter a hoot in the budget month. The budget says in the time period you had $x income and $y expense. Is x> y? It doesn't really care at all about the timing of this, first day or last, $x occurred somewhere in the month. Where this can matter a little--but it all averages out in the end--is if you get paid, say, every Friday. Some months have four Fridays and other months have five. This makes a difference, month-to-month, in $x. Now, if you are wondering if the fact all of your bills are due on the 7th and you get paid the 15th is a cash flow problem, that's not a budget question. It's a cash flow question. For that, Money offers Forecast Cash Flow. It works best when you schedule your bills and deposits and projects day-to-day account balances for specified accounts to allow you to answer this type of question. | Answers in order. No. Given the above, no. We would if we could. | Hi, I get payed once a month on the 15th of the month (strange, huh!). I'm trying to figure out (per the 2005 version) if there is a way to begin each month's actual spending budget and time period on the 15th of the month instead of month to month? Might anyone be able to help me with this?? |
