| Thanks Cal, I will try that later tonight. BTW, what happened to the Help and Support section for Money? I tried it today at 1:30 or so and the "chat" option is still not operational. I thought IM chats are available during office hours (and 1:30 ET is definitely in the range). There are other steps you could take, but I would try this first: Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments. If they are in \ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdministrator to let updates happen. Then reboot the computer. Check that the Money 2007 version shown in Help-> About is 16.0.*.1303. |

| Hello all I WAS running Money 2007 Deluxe SP1 with Vista home premium SP1 and the following is my problem. Long story short: 1. I had an Windows Update 2. Money start keep prompting me for update although i dont need it. 3. I tried following the instruction of the Knowledge Base Article and tried to locate the "MNYCorefiles" folder but it stays hidden from me. 4. In frustration i uninstalled Money and reinstalled from CD 5. Now Money wouldnt update no matter what 6. Something else happened with a third party software and I need to do a System Restore 7. Now Money stop working altogether and Vista shuts it down every time. So I am guessing i need to uninstall and do a clean install and everything else. Please tell me what i should do in steps. Thank you. |
