Default Re: Money 2006 basic backup will not restore to Money Essential 2007

M$ stopped selling Money Standard after M2006 and, at the same time, began
selling
Money Essentials. This has caused a lot of confusion. Money Standard was a
basic functional Money Program without some of the frills that were in
Deluxe; Money Essentials is a totally stripped down (and in everyone's
opinion, useless) program. The update route from Money Standard 200x is
Money Plus Deluxe. That's just the way it is.

Default Money 2006 basic backup will not restore to Money Essential 2007

My Money 2006 online service just expired so I purchased and downloaded Money
Essential 2007 with the hopes of either retsoreing or importing my backup
files from Money 2006 basic and when I try to restore the 2006 backup to the
2007 essential program I get teh message that it won't restore.
I do not want to loose all my old data and reports. How can I import these
older files into Money Essential 2007?
Thanks
