Default Re: Incompatible file format.

I can't tell at this time, but will do once I get home later this week. But
both were updated uning Microsoft update and indicate that they were current
with the latest updates. When I get home I will check the numerical version
to verify.

All I did was copy my Money file from my home desktop (Vista) and take it
with me on the road notebook (XP) and could not access the file even though
the program is up to date. Once I get home I'll take your advice and see if
the version builds match. Not sure what I'll do if they match, but will
cross that bridge when I come to it...

Thanks.

Are you saying that Help-> About shows version 16.0.120.1303 on both
computers?

Not for most users.

Default Incompatible file format.

Have been using Money for years and have Money Deluxe 2007 installed on both
my home (Vista) machine and my notebook (XP) machine. Problem is when I go
on the road and take my Money file with me, my XP machine says that the file
is incompatible and was created with a newer or updated version of Money.
Both machines have the same version and are both include the latest updates.
What gives? Did Microsoft create something in Vista that precludes using the
Money file under any other operating system? I may have to switch to Quicken
or even a Linux version if they keep this up..........
