| Well, in the definition of "cloud computing", your financial institutions would be the remote database of your information. Your mobile device (computer) would just access, display and report the data. So you could have 10 banks, and 20 cards and still have only one cloud. So, Money would be the receipent of all those feeds (as it can today). I was just looking for a way to get transactions into my Money when I cannot be by my PC (via mobile computing). | Be carefule with terms like "for real" and anyone who say they "sync". Those definitions are gray and up for interruptations. I have found applications that "sync" may have a 5 step manual process of moving data from one application to another. Suppose you have two banks and two credit card companies and abroker. Are you saying that in that case "the cloud" would be five clouds who are not sharing your data? Or are you thinking that the bank would run/use an aggregator that feeds you the info from those five accounts? "The cloud" always sounded nebulous to me. |

Well, technically "the cloud" would be your bank. BB has advanced to realtime banking with better security than application computing downloading data. I guess we are back to where you keep you money data. Under your mattress or in the bank. See if MSN Money would do the job for you. It is not as fully> computing. featured as Microsoft Money, but it is free. I am fine with you having your finances in "the cloud". I like mine on my computer.

While the world and Microsoft's competitiors embrace the BB, Microsoft choses to stand alone. BB is a delivery and communication device and not a competitor. The BB 8800 was developed for just that. To bridge the gap between all platforms, solutions and users. I guess Microsoft is more interested in application computing than cloud computing. As far as I can tell via searches, most Blackberries don't useeither Windows Mobile, so that would make it moot. - quote - > Ultrasoft has a > generic financial solution that eliminates the need for MS Money. I think you would find that it is not generic in that it interfaces to synchronize to Microsoft Money more directly. When they say "Ultrasoft Money for Windows Mobile synchronizes with Microsoft Money 2002 and later, including Microsoft Money Plus." it's for real. I don't use a PDA myself, so my information is an informed second hand.

Cal, My apologies with the acronyms. BB= blackberry. Ultrasoft has a generic financial solution that eliminates the need for MS Money. At best it uses imports and exports for updates to Money. Otherwise, no ready MS Money mobile edition. I have a BB. Is there support here? portable version of Money that, I think, synced with the PC database, but it's no longer on the market, based on what I've read here. I infer that it *might* still work if you can find an old copy on eBay. Advice from persons with actual experience would be good here. -- Steve Bell New Life Home Improvement Arlington, TX

Is this option available? The ability to enter transactions on my Money checking account via a "Money" site that will sync and update my Money account during the sync process? This would be handy. Please advise.
