| I don't know what changed but my updating has been working fine for about a month. I did nothing to "correct" the problem but it now works consistently. Therefore, I am assuming the problem was at Citicard side. "huskybytes" wrote: - quote - > Finally started working but had to export txns, delete account, create a new > account, import txns. | Finally started working but had to export txns, delete account, create a new account, import txns. Nobody seems to know why. then 2 weeks later, it did not update my gasoline purchases for 7 days. Citibank said it affected only certain Citicards, Exxon Mobil was one of them. Not sure what the others were but you should call the number on the back of creditcard and ask for 'online support'. Some of their techs seem to understand the issue. | Cal, I tried doing the clean boot. When I did it I got an error message which said I needed to sign on as an administrator. Never the less it looked like all the clean boot settings worked. After the reboot, Money update worked fine. I then reset all my msconfig settings to normal and rebooted, again Money update worked FINE. I don't think I mentioned it previously but when the Citicard was failing in update Schwab, Vanguard and Wachovia all updated fine. So while it is working now, I really don't have any confidence that it is fixed since it has worked like this before. If that is correctr, it did not fix the issue with Money. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> UserAccounts-> CreateANewAccount Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file (Decline Passport/LiveID). Set up Money download the Citicard as that user. Does that succeed? The theory is that if the problem is an IE setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE settings will not have been changed. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, neil154 wrote: > > > > I just tried doing an online update and it failed. | I have a Citicard credit card (not ExxonMobil) and have had it set for direct download for at least a year and probably longer and it has been working fine. In the last couple of weeks it has only worked a couple of times but in general fails. I therefore went into manage online services and stopped the download. I then went back into manage online services and tried to set up the online download. After putting in my user ID and password, Money Plus H&B give me a message that I have not account with Citi. I can still get to the Citi web site and sign in with no problem. Anyone else have have any problems or solutions with CitiCard? I have a Citicard that says Citi on it, and it works great. It was> direct connect but it stopped working mid-July. not fully clear whether, when you referred to the Exxon credit card and the Citicard, you were talking of one card or two. Looking at http://www.microsoft.com/money/banko...ovidersOnly#27 I see that Exxon is a different deal -- its data goes thru a third party. Make an extra backup/copy of your file in case you want to undo something. |
