| Though not the biggest Microsoft fan in the world, I have to say that it is a little unrealistic to expect data files to be backwards compatible. They usually aren't no matter who the software provider is. | All true re. QIF import/export. It is horribly limited for any purpose remotely like this. Also, the issue of M+ files not being backward compatible with prior versions is a widely known fact and well documented. No Money file has EVER been compatible with the previous version for 16 versions now. Do you still have your .M12 file somewhere? It will have everything up to the point of your file upgrade and you can just rename it .MNY and use it with M04. So, who are you going to trust your data to? Intuit? http://www.staples.com/office/suppli...0400:SS941802? | There are several problems with Money 2008 for me. It won't run on one of the (quite old) systems I need to be able to access my financial data on, and it can't be synced with windows mobile. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466 If salv.exe does not ask for a password, there is no password on the file. I suggest you try the Money Plus Deluxe free trial (it could be installed on a different computer). | I have a file that was created in Money Plus Deluxe. I need to be able to open it in Money 2004, but whenever I try, Money 2004 asks for a password. I've used the Money Plus password manager to remove all passwords, and it's still asking for the password. The password that should work doesn't, neither do any other passwords I use. It's crucial I be able to open this file in Money 2004. |
