| I also just downloaded Money Plus and I get the same error message when installing. I tried your suggestion and it did not work. I have XP. What else can I do? Let's guess you are using XP. I would try creating a new XP user with Administrator privilege. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> UserAccounts-> CreateANewAccount Switch to that user and install Money with a new blank file Let Money download possible updates as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE settings will not have been changed. If you are not using XP, or if the process doesn't work for you, post back with more info, including what the actual error message is, and what software firewall you are running ( such as Norton). running. |
