| Further to Dick's post, Money Essentials is aimed at someone who is just starting out on keeping track of their finances and as such won't read a previous Money file. Also it is a very cut down version with out many features. There are restrictions where you can keep your Money data files in Vista. They must be in the Documents folder or a sub-folder. To move from your old PC just copy the .mny file and some .mbf backups to the Vista Documents folder and install the new version of Money. If you find you need to do an update in Vista, right click on the Monet Desktop icon and Runasadminstrator. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For unofficial FAQs see http://money.mvps.org/ or http://umpmfaq.info/ I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for.
