| My **suspicion** is that you can install it and it will work **for a while**. Just don't let it try and go activate over the net. | Thanks to all for your replys. Marilyn and Bob, you nailed my concern with putting her into M+.......then I would have to use it too and I am happy with M07. Dick, you answered an unasked question about the compatability of data generated on M07 Premium and transferred to M07 Deluxe.....everything would work fine. I will attempt to locate a new copy of M07 either Deluxe or Premium on E-Bay.....I hadn't considered that as a possibility. In the mean time......back to the original question. She is traveling 600 miles to spend a few days with me and my Money file and will be here next Friday 8/22. If she gets here before I can obtain her a copy of M07....can I use my CD to install M07 on her laptop or will it not be possible because I already have it installed on two desktops and a laptop? I imagine it would install ok but may not be recognized or usable online. Anybody have ideas about this? | Yes, but there was a concern about the availability of M07. M+ is one solution to that issue. One final note: the accountant would be Just Fine with M07 Deluxe to work with the data files generated by M07 Premium. The Premium thing is all about teases for online services and doesn't change any data in the data file. | Yes but in order to share the data files, one would have to buy two copies of Money Plus because the current data file would be converted to Money Plus and would not be backward convertible so the OP wpould no longer be able to use it. So buying an M2007 would make more sense. -- Peace, BobJ "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:O7JEafa$IHA.4780[at]TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... - quote - > Some thoughts. > M07 is readily available via, say, eBay. > If you can tell the difference between M07 and M+, you are doing better > than 95% of the users who have used both. > "Roger" <Roger[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:0A90E779-63A2-4F71-94F6-FF4CF3790652[at]microsoft.com... > > Yeah...I thought about that but I can't buy Money 2007 anymore. | Some thoughts. M07 is readily available via, say, eBay. If you can tell the difference between M07 and M+, you are doing better than 95% of the users who have used both. | Yeah...I thought about that but I can't buy Money 2007 anymore. Don't want to confuse the issue by loading her up with something totally new....Money Plus or what ever that I am not familiar with. Thanks for the reply. | Have her buy a version & tell her to add it to your bill. This program is really inexpensive when you compare it to MS Office products & other accounting programs. I don't mean to be rude but that is how I feel. | I have been a money user since 1995 and am presently using Money 2007 Premium. I purchased the CD retail and I have it installed on two home desktops and one laptop. My Money file is huge and includes all my personal and business financial information going back over 20 years. My accountant of nearly 20 years has recently signed on to be a co-successor trustee for my estate planning joint trust. She uses Quicken in her business has used it for years but desires to install and learn Money to better handle her trust responsibilities for me should the need arise. Can I give her my purchased Money CD to allow her to install it on her laptop? I could then provide her with backups from my system to allow her to keep her's current with mine. She would have no other use for her Money file other than to serve in her trustee capacity to me if needed. I don't feel any legal or ethical dilemma.....should I?.... Is there anything else....hardware or software... that will prevent me doing what I want to accomplish? Thanks for your thoughts, Roger |
