| In addition to Watson, I'd like to add, that you can save your file in any location which is most comfortable to you, only thing you need to do is to tell you MS Money, where your mny file is and will be located. For instance, I have my own folder on my D disk named "My stuff" where I keep all my working files. So in case if I need to reinstall my computer or make backups of my personal documents and files, I take care only about this folder - back it up and I'm relatively safe. ![]() -- _______________________________ Marius Vilemaitis | Tel: +370-65096914 | E-mail: m.vilemaitis[at]gmail.com "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:uRS2zmY%23IHA.3756[at]TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... - quote - > Export / Import has nothing to do with what you want to accomplish. > Find your .MNY file and move it to the other machine. | Export / Import has nothing to do with what you want to accomplish. Find your .MNY file and move it to the other machine. Put it in your Documents folder there. Once Money is installed, double-click on the data file you copied. | I just installed MS Money a few weeks ago. I have it on my work laptop but need to move it to my home pc for obvious reasons. I have seen on MS support site that if you do a export then import that you lose categories and other things. What is the best way to do this without losing data? Also, could you do it from the backup file that I have done automatically? |
