Google search (it wasn't easy to find). It turned out that one of the tranaactions contained a character Money doesn't handle in the Payee's name. I thinks it was a ' or " character. Then solution was to turn on some option in Money's perferrences that strips out some characters in downloaded transactions. I don't remember what it was and I'm not at my computer to look at Money. The way I could see that bad character in the transaction was to view it online at my bank's website. Good luck! I hope this helps. George |

| Hi, I restored from a backup and and able to finish "Standard File Repair" Successfully, then I downloaded the transactions from my bank. I imported successfully when I go to the account list I see "Updating Accounts" for almost 4 hours... and still the transactions did not show up, I'm still waiting to finish. Why is it "Updating Accounts" taking long time.... One thing I want to mention I have not downloaded any transactions from my bank in the last 12 months, last I downloaded was 04/2007 now I'm downloading only 30 days worth transactions and I see this. I have noticed someone posted similar quesiton on "Updating Accounts" here is the link http://www.microsoft.com/communities...d-f2bbc8966623 and they have also not downloaded for a while... does it ring any bell... ? Maybe a scandisk /f on your hard drive would be a good idea. Then do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2 on your existing file. If you cannot then complete the Quick repair on that, I would restore that backup that did let you complete the Quick repair again. Try a level 2 on that one, and see how that works. It is possible that doing a level 1 repair also would help, tho that is usually effective for problems involving reports. You can right-click where it says you have TransactionsToRead and choose to Delete the statement. But still, I think you want to be able to complete quick repair. If you cannot, I would be considering something more drastic: QIF export and then import into another file. Let's hope it does not come to that. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, hangon wrote: > > > > I have MS Money 2006 Deluxe. Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles. Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again. Then go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This is a global (inter-file) setting. Download again. - quote - > somethings I noticed. | I have MS Money 2006 Deluxe. I downloaded transactions from my bank via ofx file and the import is successfull. When I go to Account List on the right hand side it shows "Transactions To Read:70" but when I click I do not see any transactions. I searched this site and tried all different possibilities and even followed the KB: 829143 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829143) still did not help.. I have even looked at this thread http://thesource.ofallevil.com/commu...d-f14ad050cd5f still did not help... somethings I noticed. I took a backup and restored the backup and when I do Quick File Repair it repairs immediately, but I still have the issue. But after sometime when I try to do "Quick File Repair on Money File" it takes long time and hangs... |
