Default Re: MS Money 2005 - XP to Vista Premium

I have just changed from XP to Vista and experienced difficulty in getting my
money 2005 program to accept a backup file from my old XP computer. After
following the information provided in your article, the file opened without
any problem.

Kind regards
S Thomas

Another thing to try is run a backup on the old machine. Take the backup
file and "restore" it on the new machine.

That is what I had to do to move my money file to a new machine with Vista.

On the new PC find sample.mny and make sure it is in a folder in Documents.
Find the M2005 icon, right click on it and Run as Administrator. This should
download a large update that isn't on the CD.

Find your Money data file on the old PC. Typically MyMoney.mny. Copy to a
memory stick. On new PC copy to a folder in Documents. Double click on the
file name and money should start up.

I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for.

Default MS Money 2005 - XP to Vista Premium

Is there an easy way to move the ENTIRE MS Money database from my existing XP
pc to a new Vista pc. I have loaded Money 2005 from disk to the new pc - but
it will not allow me to load back-up Money files from the old pc. Using QIF
export/import caused several duplicate entries! !!
