Deleting IE Cookies may be enough. But if it does not work the first
time, try it again.

Anyone using Windows Live OneCare?

An update on Thursday knocked out my ability to connect from Money (and a
bunch of other apps)...I reinstalled and all is fine now.

Something about this worked for me, too. Thanks for the pointer!

A couple of complications I had, in case anyone else runs across
them. I first went to that site in Firefox and went through all of
the services listed in the "Services" section and logged out. I still
couldn't get log in to my Money file. Then, I went to the same site
in IE and started logging out of the services. I think I only managed
to get through one or two services before IE crashed on me. However,
even though I hadn't gone through the whole list, I decided to try
logging into my Money file anyway and, lo and behold, I got in.

Thanks again for the link. Hopefully this will help someone out.

a fix.

I also was not able to sign in last night or today, until I FINALLY found
this site and read about logging off other Passport "services." Then I could
get in. (I had trouble finding this site, seems like when you search the
Microsoft site for "Money support" you get sent to all sorts of MSN sites or
related stuff wanting to tell you how to deal with the crashing market. Not
software that's not working properly.)

I was not, however, even able to get into Money offline. I checked the box
to work offline but I kept getting messages saying I had invalid characters
in the password field for logging on online. Even tho it was blank and I'd
checked going OFFline. What's up with that??

Also, isn't it a bit feeble that the message one receives is that EITHER:
one's password is incorrect
OR
Money online servers are down.

Why can't the program distinguish between these two very different
situations?

I've been having the same issue yesterday and today. I tried logging out of
all Passport services, but still can't log into Money, (at least into its
online services). Maybe I'm missing something? How can I be sure I'm REALLY
logged completely out of all Passport services?

Thanks for this thread!! I'm glad I'm not alone in this problem.

What worked for me was to sign out of all passport sites that I was signed
in to. There were quite a few.

Once I did this, the file opened normally, updated and closed normally.

I'm noticed the same problem last night and still can't log in. Like
you, when I choose not to use online services I get in to the file
fine. Is there a problem the server handling authentication?

More than likely there is a problem if we are having the same issue. I
checked the MSN status page but nothing was listed there. Oh well, stuff
like this happens occasionally.

My Live ID has not changed, nor my password. Yet when I try to log in , it
tells me my e-mail address or password is not correct. Been working until
today. There a system problem? As I am signed on to Live Messenger and
