I suggest you open any file you can, such as Sample.mny.
In XP, you can do that by going to your Money install folder
and right-clicking Sample.mny, and choosing Open.
Go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the
(GeneralDisplayStartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tList.
Close Money.

Then open the problem file once or twice.

Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the
Investment Performance module. If you still have a problem, remove
everything. If the problem goes away, you can add things back until
the crash does not happen.

If Sample.mny opens, but you cannot get your real file open, I would
File-> Restore your latest or second-newest backup. You can avoid
overwriting the existing *.mny file by not restoring to the "default
location." Instead Browse to your MyDocuments folder, and specify a
new name.

I have been using Money 2007 for 1.5 years with no problems until about 2
weeks ago. Now I can not start Money at all. It takes me straight to the
sign in screen and it looks like it will connect and then I get an error that
says "Microsoft Money has encountered a problem and nees to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience." It says to click for more information about
this error and the reference information there is: AppName: msmoney.exe
AppVer: 16.0.0.1303 ModName: msofd.dll ModVer: 16.0.0.1303 Offset: 00040a50.
There is another click for technical info but it is extremely long. Based on
the msofd.dll reference it seemed like a registry error to me. I uninstalled
and reinstalled Money several time and different ways with no luck. I've
reinstalled Windows Explorer 7 to no avail, I have no idea what else to do
and I'm not finding help on the Microsoft website.

Help!!! I can't handle my checking account without this program!! I'm
totally dependent on it!
