See what happens if you right-click the Money icon and choose
RunAsAdministrator.

Where is your .mny file? It needs to be in a folder in your Documents
folder.

Also see http://money.mvps.org/faq/article/403.aspx for some ideas.

Default Money 2000 in Vista

I eventually managed to install Money 2000 on my new computer by copying the
CD contents onto the C drive and then running the setup as an administrator
but although it has installed, it won't run...
I've altered the settings so it should run in compatibility mode with xp sp2
and am running the program as an admin but when i double click the icon, all
i get is the money 2000 splash screen and then it stops responding.

I can't upgrade to a newer version as I'm in the UK and newer versions are
designed for US market (and 2000 does fine for me!)
any ideas as to what settings are blocking the program?
