| Hi, it was Error 17.0. I was unable to find anything on it. However, I did get through to technical support after many hours on hold. We had a lot of difficulty. If anyone experiences the same problem this is what we ended up doing: Money Plus was already loaded. I opened the sample money from programs, restored my back up final and it seemed to work. However we still had some problems. I did receive Error 17.0. I'm not sure if this is the error 17.0 but money plus wouldn't recognize my budget from M06 so I had to create a new one. After I did, I didn't receive Error 17.0 again and I had access to my files. Wow! this could really drive someone to drink! Thanks for getting back to me. -- karen "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, seawtchr wrote: > > I'm installing money plus deluxe in windows xp. | Hi - I was wondering if there was any further resolution to this issue. I am having the exact same problem - and I too deleted the registry key as recommended below and still cannot get the Money Plus Deluxe software to install on my computer. I would go toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf] [at]="[at]SYS oesNotExist"in regedit and delete the key. But maybe I would be wrong to do that. I have that key fairly recently added myself. You could save a restore point before making the change, and restore that restore point if you wanted to undo it. Of course let us know what you learn. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, MrBadBack wrote: > > > > When running "Setup.exe" from the CD I get the error : The AUTORUN.INF file > > > is missing or corrupt. | When running "Setup.exe" from the CD I get the error : The AUTORUN.INF file is missing or corrupt. I tried an older version from Money 2003 and get the same error message. Using windows explorer the file is there and also readable with notepad. Any Ideas? |
