Transferred mny to new PC, cannot login

It is possible he could look up the order at
http://www.findmyorder.com/ using the credit card he might have
used. He may just have used a Money trial.

He will probably want to buy Money Plus Deluxe. On line it is
available via

It could also be bought in a store. Sams and others have it. There
is an activation, and it could be installed on his desktop and
laptop both.

Now that we've established my client upgraded and doesn't remember, how do we
go about getting his current version upgraded so he can open his mny file? Is
it free or will there be additional costs involved? ie. buy latest version of

Also, checking the date stamp on the *.m14 file on the old computer,
you could tell when that upgrade from Money 2005 had occurred. That
*.m14 could be opened in Money 2005.

That occurred because the client forgot having upgraded.

You can tell by the presence of a *.m15 or *.m16 file or neither
whether the file is a converted Money 2006, 2007 or was a Money Plus
file already. A converted *.m14 file would have indicated the
conversion was from Money 2005.

Most likely the Money file is from a version newer than Money 2005.
I suggest you install the Money Plus Deluxe free 60-day free trial
with the intention of buying Money Plus after you see things are
working.

My client just bought a new PC, after installing Money on the new one and
copying over the mny file, it asks for a password to be able to gain access,
my client is adamant there is no password. Both the new and old PC's are
running Vista HomePrem, I installed Money on the new PC using the same CD as
was used on the old one, I opened the sample.mny file and updated the
software, file still asks for a password. The money version on the new PC is
14.0.120.1105, not sure what version is on the old one, I don't currently
have access to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
