| Interesting. Good thought. And, if I really wanted to be fancy, I could change the Preferred Payee Name to "Verizon (BA-NX)" and move all of the all of the transactions into that one. One other thing. One would have to be sure (via Bill Setup for example) to add Verizon automatically to the memo for future transactions. It needs to be there so that when they change their name again (to AT&T?), we'll have the correct identity listed (since the Payees are combined, Find and Replace would no longer work, except perhaps by date). -- Peace, BobJ "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:kf9q64pqv4hqq6bljsqgcaf19tet1tqhuh[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Marilyn & Bob wrote: > > Am I missing something or is it not possible to combine payees without > > changing their names? Yes. You could change the category for each of them to some common> changing their names? Then some category-based thing might be suitable for what you want to do. - quote - > Currently using Plus Deluxe with > Advanced everything. |

| Am I missing something or is it not possible to combine payees without changing their names? For example, since I started using Money my Phone company has changed it's name from NYNEX to Bell Atlantic to Verizon and my gas company has similarly had two name changes. It like to have their payee history combined on the Main Payee page without changing to whom the check was written at the time. I far as I can tell that is not possible. Am I, unfortunately, correct about this? Currently using Plus Deluxe with Advanced everything. -- Peace, BobJ |
