Default Re: How do I input figures into the "Actual Column" when I create

I see this work in M+ Deluxe Advanced Budget. But budgeting has been severely
Balkanized by the Money design team.

What edition of Money (Deluxe, Essentials, etc.)? What version? (M05, M07,
M+, MEss, etc.)? Which budget model (Advanced, Essential, "Savings and
Spending", etc?) Where are you going to look at actuals (which report or the
budget tool itself or a home page module or ???)? We are talking about Money
the locally installed application, not MSN Money the website, right?

Maybe these answers will help others think what might be going on.

Thanks. I also categorized all my register items for the month of June. But
when I go to look at my budget for last month, all my actuals are still 0.
Any idea?

In general, transfers from one Money Account to another, including, say, a
credit card payment from checking, use the "Special Category" Transfer made
just for this purpose. Transfer will then ask for the target account name
for the Transfer.

Transfer assumes you are not using Money Essentials (MEss) and are using
Advanced Register if using Money 2005 or more recent.

That's what I figured. Thanks!

Another question, how would I and should I categorize transfering money from
my checking account into my savings account?

It's supposed to figure it out from categorized transactions in account
registers for the time periods in question.
