I've edited the HTML directly, out of desperation, when changes to the
ID made it fail, so maybe you can do that. Unfortunately, you'd be
limited to values that Money passes out when you choose "print invoice".
Those are undocumented, as far as I know.

If you find a way to do it, I'd like to know.

So are you saying that I'm hosed? I'm am using the time tracking feature
already and was hoping that the invoice designer would just have a hidden
field I could tap into.

so . . . you are saying I'm stuck using the analog method and adding the
date to the description?

I run a servics business and I'd like to have the invoices show the dates
for services, but none of the text in the description.

Any thoughts on how to make this happen?
