| A to Q1) If there were a lot of customers, in the sense of tens of millions of buyers willing to shell out money to buy a tool that solved these problems, they'd solve it better. But I agree with your basic premise: support for non-default currencies in Money is very rudimentary. A to Q2) To the issues Bob cites, add in the number of different schemes for downloading transaction data and the number of different providers of financial market data. Then add in all of the language localization issues. This is like the previous problem: these issues would get solved pronto if there were a business case to be made for solving them. | I submit that the program would be huge and unwieldy. AFAIK every Country has different fiscal laws regarding Capital Gains. A single program would have to be regularly updated as each country changed it's tax laws etc etc. More likely to cost MS rather than save. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. Yes, it seems having learnt the program a bit better now that MSMoney does> created by the same localization of Money. not cope very well for persons with accounts in different countries. Surely there must be a lot of customers in the same situation as me? Why can't MS just make ONE version of Money that works in all countries? It would surely also save them a lot of money |

| The short answer is that you couldn't even do this if both data files were created by the same localization of Money. | Hello, I have bank accounts in France and in UK - as there are different versions of Money for French and UK accounts, this poses a dilemna as to which version to use. But if I set up all my accounts in the UK version (including account synchronisation), could I then open the file with the French software and set up synchronising accounts with my French accounts? |
