Opening data in Money Essentials

I found out, after downloading Money Essentials, that there is small print
somewhere in the download that tells you Essentials won't handle previous
versions of Money files. You can get a refund from MS but have to go to
their refund site thru customer service.

Probably try Money Plus Deluxe.

We recently had a hard drive crash. We saved the data but lost the programs.
I have no idea what version of Money we were running and I can't find the
original disk so I downloaded Money Essentials. When I try to open the data
files, I get the message "Money Essentials is unable to open files from other
versions of money". Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
