I don't know what you are looking to accomplish with personal financial management software. If you want to do much analysis of your spending habits or tracking of investments or have more than one or two accounts of concern or are interested in things like managing your cash flow, then, yes, Deluxe would be a better choice. One thing you may have already missed is the number of people who get here asking "how come I can't do X in MEss?" only to get the answer that it's easy to do in MDeluxe.
