This may be symptomatic of the MEss design philosophy that you use it
because you really just want to aggregate data from the banks' web sites.
That avoids the problem of you putting it in wrong. After all, the bank
knows best.

Dick,

I don't think that lets me change the BB; I may have to use a dummy
transaction to force the correct BB.

Well, I also found, once I had an account pulled up, that Other Tasks has a
Change Account Settings, however, that lets me touch everything BUT the BB.
Can even link to online banking to change passwords at the bank.

Hmmm. Change Account Details (they've changed the name, I forgot) in Deluxe
allows you to edit the beginning balance.

Another way you could adjust the beginning balance is to enter a transaction
for an adjustment. I think you can still enter transactions by hand in MEss.

Dick,

Under Tools (menu bar at top) there is a Settings, clicking that opens a
window with an Account Settings (but this is global for all accounts, not any
one particular account)

Left column of window has Common Tasks with Add a new account, Sort account
by (pick), Change account details (but not beg bal), Update now, and Manage
online services.

Few here use MEss. Is there an Account Settings selection on the left
somewhere?

Default So, I entered an estimated Beg Bal; how do I correct it?

Hi, All,

Again, MS Money 2007 Essentials. Dialog where I entered the BB said I'd be
able to correct it later. So, far, in my blindness, I'm not finding any
options for editing the beginning balance. Your suggestions and guidance?

Thanks in advance.
