Reinstalled Money on new computer. Says file is corrupted / invali

Deluxe is the lowest version that will import your data. Don't be
fooled into getting the Essentials version. It won't import any kind of
data from anywhere, even other versions of Money.

Deluxe is the minimum that should be able to open a Money 2005 file.
Essentials will not import your file.

Thank you.
The file is in my documents folder. I have tried running it as Administrator
(I had a hard time getting the update installed until I learned that trick)

I think I can get the files sent to me again, but I did make two copies of
the files, and tried them both plus a backup. I do not think it is really
corrupted.

Except that if I bought a new version, I probably would not spring for the

deluxe one. I suppose I could get the 60 day trial, see if it reads the file,
and if so, uninstall it and buy a normaly priced one.

Be sure you have your Money file in a place fully accessible to you,
such as your Documents folder.

Try opening Money once by right-clicking the launch icon and
choosing RunAsAdministrator. See if you have better luck accessing
your file that way.

Do you still have access to the old computer, or at least its hard
drive. If so, search for *.mny and *.mbf (backup) files. Re-copy

Did it somehow fail to update me to a high enough version?
I have looked everywhere I can think of for patches and updates. None of the
patches at (http://money.mvps.org/downloads/patches.aspx) look appropriate, I
do not see any way to manualy check for updates.
Is there anything that can be done?
If I buy the latest version of Money, can I be confident that it will read
my old mny file?
