If you have not yet checked ok, you can postpone the balancing and when you
restart you get the opportunity to change the balance number. I have had a
couple of times when I entered the wrong balance and realized it when I
could not get the register to balance, so I used the postpone as the way to
change the ending balance.

OK. I had mis-understood your question. I was thinking you were
referring to the opening balance for the account rather than the
balancing process.

File-> Restore to yesterday's backup is a good way to undo things.

Thanks Cal. I did an adjustment. I was hoping to re-open the balancing, and
make modifications to avoid the adjustment.

You can right-click the account from the AccountList and choose
SeeAccountSettings. There you can change the OpeningBalance near the
bottom.

Alternatively you could add a compensating transaction to the
register.

Default Entered wrong balance amount, now ending balance is off.

I was balancing credit card accounts, switching between credit and checking
accounts, and must have entered the wrong balance amount in the checking
details pop-up, thinking I was in the credit account pop-up. Now the current
checking balance is off.

Is there a way to re-open the checking balance details box to re-check and
revise the numbers?

If not, how can I revise this account?

Thank you,
kpolak
