| When you upgrade from version N to version N+, the process makes a copy of your .mny file as it was at the time. If you decide to revert you can rename this file to .mny, reinstall the previous version and you are back in business. The bad news is that you have to reinput all transactions since you did the upgrade. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | Thanks for the replies - unfortunately, no credit card seems to do the trick (don't have Amex) . Anyway, contacted a friend in the US who's willing to buy it for me then upload it to an FTP server, so it's all good. Seems daft that MS would allow a trial to overwrite an older Money file, then make it impossible to roll back, then not allow you to buy the upgrade. But then again, why doesn't that surprise me ![]() Thanks again, J. | All I can suggest is to try a different credit card with the bogus address. That has worked for some. -- Peace, BobJ "JoeDotCom" <JoeDotCom[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:931146DC-E3FA-4CA1-AE86-AEADC44B712C[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > As a follow up to my previous message, I'd like to add that I've tried the > "bogus address" method suggested in other posts, but the online store > seems > to detect that the credit card information is non-US and rejects the > purchase. > "JoeDotCom" wrote: > > Hi, I really hope someone can help me with this. | As a follow up to my previous message, I'd like to add that I've tried the "bogus address" method suggested in other posts, but the online store seems to detect that the credit card information is non-US and rejects the purchase. | Hi, I really hope someone can help me with this. Up to a few months ago I used a retail version of Money 2007 Home and Business. I downloaded and installed the MS Money Plus Home and Business trial only to discover that after it expired not only could I NOT reinstall and continue using my file with the 2007 version but I also couldn't buy the 2008 full retail version because MS's online store doesn't allow purchases from outside the US. I live in Europe and the most recent version is 2004 which is useless anyway since my file won't open in it. So I'm stuck with an expired 2008 version of Money with NO way to buy it and my Money file (which I use on a daily basis) is now useless for my business as I can't enter transactions any more. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance. J. |
