I would try to remove the LiveID/Passport from the file on the oldcomputer if the file is still accessible, and try copying that over. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899631/en-us discusses how you could remove a LiveId/Passport from a Money 2005 file. Make a copy of your Money file (*.mny) under a different name. Log in offline. In Money 2004, you should be able to click where it says "I don't need to use online features that require Microsoft Passport". You might also try in IE setting File-> WorkOffline. Then start Money and enter the last Passport/LiveID that worked on that file. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Sweet P wrote: > > > > I have recently transferred from XP to Vista - also upgraded to money plus. > > > I cannot open my file in money plus. I expect you will have to install Money on the new computer.> I cannot open my file in money plus. The one I did get opened there is > nothing there. Do I need to export from old computer? Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full privileges to, such as Documents. If they are in a place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox is in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. It may also be necessary to disable TLS 1.0. Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdministrator to let possible updates happen. Then reboot the computer. |

| I have recently transferred from XP to Vista - also upgraded to money plus. I cannot open my file in money plus. The one I did get opened there is nothing there. Do I need to export from old computer? I have no CD drives working so I can use the easy transfer cable. I thought I did transfer my money file but when it opens it is blank. HELP! |
