One way is to choose one date or the other for the transfer. That is
simplest.

Another is to create a suspense account.
I have one I call In Transit, and I named it a "cash or other"
account. Change each of the transactions into transfer
to/from that account. That account will normally have a zero
balance except while funds are in transit.

Default Different Dates

I have one account where money is paid into to which some of it is transfered
out to another account at a different institue. My question is, that when
transfering money between 2 banks there is a 3-5 day transfer period, how can
i record this in Money?

For example if money was transferred from one account on the 17th but didn't
appear until the 20th and I tried to record this as a transfer (as opposed to
credit/debit) money would only accept one date which would have to be the
same in each account.

Any ideas?
