| If you are using a money file with a windows live ID, then you need to reset my accounts in money central and remove the duplicated account from the money file, for some reason yo probably setup the account twice and money recorded that in money central as a different account, that is why you are getting the duplicated account when you run an update. |

| thanks Paul. Just to clarify, I have spoken with the bank and confirmed that they do NOT support on-line updates. I am suspecting that perhaps Money is trying to updat on-line, but cannot, and should not. I have tried to find somewhere that indicates that the the account is set up, within Money, to update, but every place I look indicates that that feature has not been implemented for this account, and therefore, it should not be making the attempt nor creating duplicate accounts. | You could try calling your bank's online support. They might be able to either adjust settings on their end, or offer some other resolution. I've had success that way sometimes. | Thanks Chris and Cal. You both seemed to be suggesting the same thing. From what I can tell, this particular account is disabled for online updates. That is what is so surprising. I have tried to look in the advanced options, and still it does not appear as though it is enabled for this account. What you say seems to make sense, but I cannot figure out how to disable this one. Any further suggestions? Thanks. | Probably more information is needed to answere the question, such as how the accounts are being named, etc. Check the account settings perhaps there is a check box to uncheck that will stop the data from downloading. | Everytime I perform an on-line update to my accounts, Money creates an additional copy of one of my CC accounts. This particular account does not appear to be and is not supposed to be one of those that updates. I am not able to merge the two accounts. When I try to do so, the choice of that account is not available. I found an online solution, which was essentially to merge the two, but that does not work. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try? |
