It is easy. You could run the trial for 60 days first to get a> download that (29 bucks) and just do the upgrade without the trial. Is that > easiest? little extra time added to the two-years Plus will give you for the downloads after you activate it. When you do the purchased download, make one or more copies of the install file and keep the activation code with it. Unless you purchase the extended download service, you will not be able to download if you had to reinstall or to install on that second computer after a month (I think it is). I would burn that copy onto a CD and keep it as if you had purchased an install CD at the store. You can optionally have them mail you that CD. |

Cal, Thanks, I was going to get the 2008 version anyhow so maybe I will just download that (29 bucks) and just do the upgrade without the trial. Is that easiest? |

I have xp sp3 but this does not appear realated to sp3. Money Plus Deluxe trial. Downloads are scheduled to expire on your Money 2006 in September anyway. Trial is 60 days. Deluxe at Sams is under 25 tho there might be a bug on the deluxe disk that would make you have to do some stuff involving copying some files from the trial install. :-o You could deal with it pretty easily if you prepared in advance. The downloaded version actually is better in that regard. Then see if the remove bills feature in Money Plus makes things good. You could do the on your same machine as long as you are able reinstall Money 2006 if you decide to continue with Money 2006. Note that Money 2006 will not be able to open the file used by Money Plus, so you would only have the data that had been in Money 2006 before. Post for more info if you are going to try the trial. |

I did both the easy repair and the Standard level 2. Level 3 reported no errors. I uninstalled and reinstalled Money 2006. I have deleted about half the bills and that didn't help. Now the bad news, I did open the sample data base and I do not have the crash when I go to the bill summary and pay a bill. Now what? I have xp sp3 but this does not appear realated to sp3. |

File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2 to try to make a repaired version of your file. If you had Money 2007 or later, I would suggest you try removing your bills in a copy of your file to see if that helped. If it did, there would be techniques that would help a little to get your bills set up again. Let's hope the repair does it. |
