From Account Settings for that account, tick TrackCashTransactions. |

| The Account List view shows the combined value of the Cash + Investment portions of the associated accounts. I don't know of a way to get it to show the cash account portion separate from the investment portion. | Cal had it right. A couple of my transactions entered as Add/Remove instead of cash transactions...that fouled up my balance. One issue remains...when I view my Account list. The investment account shows up with the investment balance, but there's no listing of my cash account. I checked to be sure I didn't label it as closed and it's not. How do I get it to show up so I have an accurate total for my accounts? Thanks again! | Thanks for the prompt reply!! I think I'll do as you suggest and make a compensating transaction. I'll then keep a close eye on my daily updates to see if there's another divergence. My downloaded transactions do include sweeps. There are a few add/remove shares...I'll look at them tonight. I'll post again in a couple of days, once I do some more testing. Again, thank you for taking the time to help! I would start with the Cash Transactions page. Decide how you want> I have an investment/stock account that is having issues. When I look at it > in the Account Summary it shows an incorrect cash balance. The investment > balance is pretty close to the actual...just off because of some minor > differences in stock quotes. But, the cash balance is way off. to handle this. You can get the cash transactions corrected, make one or more compensating transactions, or a combination. Do your downloaded transactions include Buy and Sell of your sweep money market fund, or is that not reflected in the downloads? If the former, the cash balance would be zero when there is not a buy or sell that has not yet settled. Are you downloading Buys Sells, Dividends only into the investment transactions? Or are there any AddShares or RemoveShares in the investment transactions? If you have any AddShares or RemoveShares, they will not make a needed entry (needed to have the cash balance correct) into the cash transactions. Get your statement for a period way back in time from your broker's website. Sort the account by date. Try to match things up for that time. If you can, good. If not, consider making a compensating deposit or withdrawal to make it match. It would be nice if you can figure out where the divergences are coming from. - quote - > Also when I > compare the Total Account Value from the Account Summary page to the total > shown on the Account List, it's way off. > I'm having a hard time figuring out where the problem is. | Hi I'm using Money 2006 Deluxe. I update online regularly. I have an investment/stock account that is having issues. When I look at it in the Account Summary it shows an incorrect cash balance. The investment balance is pretty close to the actual...just off because of some minor differences in stock quotes. But, the cash balance is way off. Also when I compare the Total Account Value from the Account Summary page to the total shown on the Account List, it's way off. I'm having a hard time figuring out where the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Scott |
